Term 4 has been a busy term with a number of exciting and engaging primary events being planned. Due to the popularity of the last University of Kent Super Saturday series back in January, we delivered a one-off condensed Crime Buster workshop on 9th March 2024 that was equally successful.
Year 4 and Year 5 primary students enjoyed the opportunity to delve into the world of forensics, navigating a crime scene, analysing the evidence and solving the crime! Students also made their own fingerprint keyring to take home. We had a great team of University of Kent staff, ambassadors, and Chatham Grammar staff who delivered and supported the event.
Marketing for our next University of Kent Super Saturdays - Elements of Discovery, has gone out to our partnership schools. This is due to take place on Saturday 11th May 2024.
Our FREE Medway Test (11+) Tuition webinars continue to be successful. These webinars are for Year 5 students from Medway primary schools. The next series of webinars will take place on Tuesday 9th April 2024, during the term break. We have over 200 students signed up to participate.
The Who's Who Mentoring Programme will start in Term 5. Year 6 students from all six of our primary partnership schools have the opportunity to participate in an interactive careers focussed workshop delivered by Careers Guidance Charts. This will be followed by an inspirational talk from Esther Johnson, a local illustrator and previous Chatham Grammar student, about her career journey so far.
The Chatham Grammar Experience returns again with an even bigger programme on offer! It's a great opportunity for Year 5 primary students from Medway schools to visit Chatham Grammar and participate in a programme of after school curriculum-based taster workshops. The students participating will gain a unique and personal insight into secondary education.
