A very warm welcome to Chatham Grammar, a selective 11 - 19 girls academy that is part of the University of Kent Academies Trust (UKAT). We hope you find the Admissions section on our website easy to access, informative and user friendly.

September 2026 admissions

Our open events will take place on Saturday 11th October 9am - 11am and Thursday 16th October 6pm - 8pm for the September 2026 year 7 intake. Tours of Chatham Grammar will take place w/c 6th October.

In year admissions

If you are interested in applying for an in year casual admission place, you will need to complete an in year application form which can be found in the In Year Casual Admissions section. The Admissions Team will then contact you regarding the next steps. If there is space in the required year group next steps may include pre-admission testing and/or meetings to discuss possible pathways for your child.

Decision on Chatham Grammar becoming co-educational

As you will recall, we held consultations in December 2023 and January 2024 regarding the proposal for Chatham Grammar to become a co-educational establishment, alongside Fort Pitt Grammar and Holcombe Grammar. We are delighted to share that the Department for Education has approved this decision, and all three schools will therefore become co-educational from September 2026.
